It goes without saying that as fans of drag race, there’s a particular time of the year that peaks our excitement levels for very obvious reason.

Yes, it’s almost time for Drag Con UK!

We’re very pleased to say that we’ve been given the privilege of press passes for the second year running and naturally we fully plan to put them to good use for your entertainment.

For now though, it’s only right that we spill some tea on the event itself.

First and foremost, it’s super important to have an iconic guestlist, what would a celebration of all things drag be without one after all?

A whole bunch of fabulous folks we’ve had on our podcast will be in attendance so we’re looking forward to a reunion or two. The weekend isn’t just about meeting your favourite drag stars, it’s also the perfect excuse to get shop until you death drop. As always, there are plenty of wonderful vendors setting up their booths alongside the artists to scratch that “treat yourself” itch.

There’s also some amazing queer organizations involved too.

In one of our favourite annual traditions, the lovely Annabelle Lecter has annotated the official floor plan with the attending artists to make planning your day super easy without any wrong turns.

After hours antics

This year we’ll be kicking things off on Friday with the amazing cast of Drag Rack UK Series 5, which feels very right since we’re in the heart of the UK.

The party will also continue with a celebration of drag from around the globe on the Saturday evening to truly slay the house down.

Oh baby, we are getting an absolutely TREAT this year.

The icon herself TS Madison is not only attending, but will be filming the hilarious “Bring Back My Girls” live from Drag Con!
