It’s safe to say that we’re very excited to be attending DragCon UK 2023 and even more thrilled to announce that we’ve been blessed with press passes!
That’s right; we’ll be spending the weekend taking some stunning pictures, doing cute little interviews, taking some fun videos, handing out some stickers and spreading some queer love.
For those of you attending, considering a trip or even just curious, here’s a bit of a run down.
Gurl Friends
Among the many artists at this years event we’re so pleased to see a whole bunch of our favourite guests from our podcast – needless to say we’ll be paying them a visit for a good old squeeze and a quick kiki. The wonderful Annabelle Lecter has kindly annotated the official floor plan with attending queens and their booths so you can plan your route each day and visit all of the fabulous artists you love. We’ve included both below just in case there’s any changes

There are so many stalls and vendors to explore this year, giving you plenty of opportunity to enjoy a solid dose of retail therapy.
Whether you’re into a bit of art, a cute lil accessory or looking for a new wig, be sure to show some support for these wonderful businesses.

In traditional convention fashion, there are some incredible conversations being had on stage by a whole bunch of the amazing artists and icons attending this years event. We’ve got everything from important conversations surrounding Asian Diaspora and Black Excellence to make-up and gossip!
Make sure you take some time to go have a listen, they will be happening all weekend under the sponsorship of Audible.
Fancy earning yourself a badge?

Embrace yourself and your inner child
Of all the announcements so far, one that has taken us all by surprise is the inclusion of kids TV legends the Teletubbies.
All weekend long you’ll be able to find Tinky-Winky, Dispy, Laa-Laa and Po spreading some love and joy around the convention, be sure to snap a picture or two with them, they are sponsoring the event after all.
Young and free
All are welcome at RuPaul’s DragCon and this includes the young un’s!
Kids 8 and under are even allowed in free when accompanied by an adult with a ticket. Along with being able to enjoy a safe, queer space, there’s even a whole bunch of activities aimed at our precious youth.
Who fancies an after-party?
As if a day filled with fashion, shopping, meet and greets, cocktails, panels and more wasn’t already enough, there’s even more fun to be had once the convention doors close.
Oh yes, it’s time for some extra iconic performances.
On Friday evening we have an incredible line up from our two vs the world seasons, then Saturday it’s an all winners party baby!
Just the tip
The super talented Liam Draws Drag has made a lovely little set of tips based on previous experience at the conventions. We were going to do something similar ourselves, but these are spot on, the drawings are as adorable as ever and it’s always nice to promote a talented artist.
