Disclaimer: You’re about to see a whole bunch of hot men stripping off!
Yes you heard us right, it’s time to focus your attention on a wonderful bunch of individuals who are not only a real treat to look at, but have created something as equally wholesome as it is erotic.
We are of course talking about the Red Ribbon calendar, making a grand return after being a total triumph following its debut last year. The calendar balances a thirst for nudity with raising funds, awareness and battling the stigma surrounding HIV with the goal of Zero 30 in mind. For those of you who may not be aware, that means with research, testing, prevention and treatment, we’re looking toward zero new HIV transmissions or AIDS, and AIDS-related deaths by 2030.
The fabulous Mark Lister is back behind the lens to bring us some delectable shots and trust us when we say you’re not going to be let down….
We’re catching up with one of the handsome models to chat about this year’s calendar for all the gossip and future plans.
Everyone say “Hey Jordan!”

How excited were you to return for round 2 of the calendar?
Super excited to be back for a second year with the Red Ribbon Calendar! Due to the success of last years launch parties we have added another location this year and will also be visiting Hastings, alongside last years location in Brighton, Kent and London!

Naturally you’ve stuck with the amazing Sussex Beacon and Terrence Higgins charities, could you give everyone some insight as a reminder of what work they do?
Yes, two fantastic charities, the Sussex Beacon is a Brighton-based charity and specialist medical facility that provides care, support, and palliative services for people living with HIV and the broader LGBTQ+ community, The Terrence Higgins Trust provides help and support with those living with HIV, through helplines, campaigns around HIV awareness, prevention, and safe sex, and advocates Prep and Testing.

Last year you smashed it and sold over 400 calendars, what approach are you taking to make that look like small potatoes this time around?
This year we are back with a bang! More social media engagement, press and another launch party location!
Are there any particular programmes, services or community initiatives you’d like to see as a result of the money brought in from the calendar?
I’m absolutely sure both charities will use the money raised in the most affective way that benefits the most of their service users, so happy with anything they decide to do to support those in the most need.
Alongside the fundraising element, the goal is also to break the stigma around HIV and push toward ending this by 2030, how do you feel this has progressed in the last year?
I think the calendar helped raise awareness around HIV, and prevention, treatment and safe sex, which is great and also media outlets like yourself raising awareness!

Have you encountered any resistance, misunderstanding or criticism during the project?
No we haven’t had any resistance or criticism and have been overwhelmingly supported by the community which is great! By supporting these charities, we also sign post them for more information regarding treatment, support and prevention for those who may say they need it!
What was the funniest moment from behind the scenes this year?
We filmed a promo video to the song satisfaction in builder outfits… but after review, we collectively agreed it wouldn’t see the light of day! Haha
(Boooooo, we totally need to see this!)

If asked next year, do you think any of your fellow models would do a NSFW edition and would you join them?
Never say never!

For a bit of fun, if you could get any 3 celebrities involved in a posing for a third edition, who would be your top choices?
Oh I would love Olly Alexander, who’s also a Sussex Beacon Patron! Charlie Hunnam as a tribute to his Queer as Folk Days, and Tom Daley!
To end on a wholesome note, what messaged would you like to put out to the LGBTQIA+ community?
In an ever changing political world, be safe, be proud, and always be YOU!
(Very well said and to celebrate, here’s a bonus BTS shot with Mark)

What more can we possibly say?
For just £10, you can treat yourself, a friend, a colleague, a family member or even someone in a secret santa pool to this truly amazing calendar.
