So you all know that we love a queer musician right?
Well that love is amped up to 11 when they happen to be a local legend that we’ve had the pleasure of enjoying in person.
We’ve know this handsome gent for a few years now and it’s always exciting to find out he’s releasing new music.
Will you be “Falling” for Sam Dickinson too?
A moment to appreciate the artist
Sam has been played extensively on the radio, including the UK’s most listened to radio station BBC Radio 2, so you’ve probably heard his music before. The iconic Graham Norton has even said “he just keeps getting better and better” – if that’s not high praise and great recognition we don’t know what is.
Across that pond, Sirius XM in the United States have been spinning some of Sam’s tracks and have even described his vocals as a modern Meat Loaf!
His music has been streamed more than a million times and has been an ongoing experiment between soul, pop and dance to bring a fabulous send of variety. Oh and did we mention he’s a staple on one of the UK’s most popular LGBTQI+ radio station and an absolute favourite of our, Pride Radio.
If that wasn’t enough to entice you, he also has some pretty sweet writing credits too, including RuGirl’s Manila Luzon and our favourite silly sausage, Choriza May.
Oh yeah, he has also opened for The Falling and Louise Redknapp in addition to having his own UK tour – just to keep him busy.
Most importantly though we can say without a doubt that Sam is a wonderful guy and if you ever have the chance to meet him, don’t hesitate for a second.
Falling
The latest track from the “All We Are” hitmaker is Falling, a dance fuelled, club inspired summer anthem in waiting. This marks his first release at his new home with global record label AEC Music and is without a doubt the right way to kick things off!
Sam said: “I have hinted at dance music for a long time and I’m excited to finally celebrate such an amazing genre of music” when discussing his first release since the well-received 2020 lockdown album ‘Off Script’, which FYI you should also stream.
Taken from Sam’s upcoming album Collection: The Stories (due later this year), Falling is aptly released 10 years to the day that Sam’s debut album “The Stories That Occurred” was released and scored him an iTunes Top 40 moment.
You can stream the stunning new anthem below as a preview, but we fully encourage popping over to iTunes and giving a download to support this wonderful artist.
P.s. go give him a follow on Instagram <3
