If you loved the drama, social commentary, fun and all-round joy of BBC Three’s I Kissed a Boy then we have some fabulous news for you!
*Dances around to We Could Be The One in excitement!*
BBC Three has announced a second series and in case you haven’t guessed from the title, it’s time to celebrate the lovely ladies of the LGBTQIA+ community.
I Kissed A Girl is produced by Twofour and will naturally be hosted again by pop icon, queen of stunning outfits and long-term LGBTQI+ ally, Dannii Minogue.
Following the ground-breaking launch of the UK’s first ever gay dating show, which received rave reviews lauding the series as ‘a reality gamechanger’ (Variety) and ‘relatable’ and ‘historic’ (The Guardian), I Kissed A Boy has captured the hearts of audiences across the UK and is described as ‘a refreshing addition to the reality dating canon’ (Attitude).
Now, Dannii Minogue is back to play Cupid – and this time, she’s swooping in to help girls who like girls!

So let’s spill some tea on what exactly we’re expecting….10 episodes and 10 stunning single girls, sound familiar?
Just like the launch season, the singles will be matched up and meet for the first time, with a kiss. No chat, no dating apps, no messages, no exchanging eyes across the bar – just one kiss to test their chemistry straight away.
Will their kiss be sweet and pure? Passionate and wild? And ultimately, will that first kiss lead to love?
Let’s find out as Dannii Minogue throws open the doors to a beautiful location perfect for the ultimate summer of love.

Before they arrive, the girls are matched up based on what they’re looking for in a partner. After meeting their match for the first time with a kiss, they’re encouraged to give their new relationship a good shot. However, the girls must ultimately do what’s right for them, because everyone is a possibility in this love game.
I Kissed A Girl will serve drama, smash stereotypes, and promises more twists and turns!
Don’t just take our word for it though, here’s a few little quotes from some of the incredible people involved with both series of the show so far:
Louise Hutchinson (Head of Entertainment at Twofour)
“It was a privilege and a pleasure to meet season one’s charismatic cast of boys and I’m delighted that we have the opportunity to pass the baton to girls this time. I can’t wait to see how they bring their own unique energy to the series, while flying the flag for the LGBTQ+ community. We couldn’t be more proud to be sharing their stories”
Fiona Campbell (Controller for Youth Audiences at BBC Three and BBC iPlayer)
“I Kissed A Girl will follow our brilliant first series I Kissed A Boy, which is the first gay dating show in the UK, bringing another fresh perspective on the LGBTQ+ dating space. We hope audiences are enjoying the series currently airing on BBC Three and are excited for what the next series will have in store.”
Dannii Minogue (Host, Icon, Ally, Total Babe)
“After showing love truly is for everyone with I Kissed A Boy, I am thrilled to have the chance to be Cupid again for girls in this second series. I’m so excited to see if we can find more connections, chemistry and hopefully love sealed with a kiss – here come the girls!”
